Author, Mama What If?
Eunice Kang wears many hats as an educator, news broadcaster, and fundraiser. Her debut children's book, Mama, What If?, is published by Mighty Fortress Press. A Los Angeles native, Eunice graduated from the University of Southern California with a Ph.D. in Politics and International Relations and she is an adjunct professor teaching political science at El Camino College. She lives in Torrance, California with her husband, six-year-old son and three-year-old daughter.

Illustrator, Mama What If?
Jane Yu is a middle school teacher by day and an artist on nights and weekends. Mama, What If? has allowed her to fulfill a lifelong dream of illustrating a children's book. Jane grew up in La Crescenta before getting her B.A. in Psychology from UC Berkeley and Masters in Education from UCLA. When she isn't creating hand lettered designs on her iPad, you can find her hanging out with her husband looking for the best restaurants in Los Angeles. Jane has also been featured (Sept. 17, 2018) on VoyageLA magazine.

Growing up in an immigrant household, Esther is passionate about serving her community. She is thrilled to be a part of the Mighty Fortress Team to help create a positive and family-centered space for Asian American authors and illustrators. Esther grew up in California but left the sunny state to study International Relations at American University in Washington, DC. In her free time, she loves to explore new coffee shops and enjoy the California sunshine.

William Kang is a fourth-year UCSB student pursuing a degree in English with a minor in Professional Writing. Having started reading at a young age, he joined the Mighty Fortress Team to help other Asian-American children see people just like them in the books that they read. William also hopes to find a career working with writers and authors to help improve their writing and communication skills. When he's not writing in candlelight with quill and ink, he likes to play tennis and board games with friends.
